Hi everyone, I am enrolled in a class all week, here in hot and humid Puerto Vallarta, which leaves me wiped out at the end of the day (I must be getting old :)). Today was the first course day and I am reasonably pleased so far.
This is my first box clasp, made using copper and German silver before putting it in a liver of sulphur solution long enough to obtain a pleasing patina. After removing the clasp from the solution, I neutralized and polished it. I am already hard at work on another clasp, this time using silver.
I plan to shift my focus back onto the blog hop by Saturday. I want this hop to be fun as well as meaningful so I will reply to all of your comments by the week end as well. Have a great week!
I would love to take a class. Hopefully once we move I can attend Beadfest and take some classes that interest me and can help me improve my skills as a jewelry designer. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get a chance to take a class soon. It is such a treat to learn with others in a supportive atmosphere. You learn as much from the other students as from the instructor. Thanks for dropping by.
DeleteFascinating working with the metals. Such talent. I am here for the blog event, but get caught up looking at your beautiful things. I hail from Alberta too! Small world we live in eh?
ReplyDeleteKeep smiling and creating
Thank you - you are very kind - I just went to see your other 2 blogs - I have subscribed to your RSS feeds to keep up. I am from Calgary how about you?
